Mirroring Sky is an interactive sound walk through Philadelphia's Center City that explores the intersection between theatre, music, and technology. The work addresses themes of the individual in the city and the simultaneously collective and solitary experience of urban life. Participants can download an iPhone application and use it to take a guided walk from Rittenhouse Square to the waterfront of the Schuylkill River Park. (For users without iPhones, the music and soundscapes are represented in their entirety in the Soundcloud playlist above.)

As participants walk through Philadelphia’s streets, they will experience a selection of site-specific dialogue, music, and sounds created by Artistic Director William Steinberger and Composer/Sound Designer Marc LeMay. The project is inspired by the poetry of Wallace Stevens and Leah Goldberg.

Mirroring Sky debuted as part of the 2014 Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
