Marc composes music in a variety of mediums, including:
His works have been heard throughout Alabama, with recent performances also in New York, Ann Arbor, St. Louis, and Bowling Green, Ohio. His compositional goal is to make music that sounds good. Among many influences, his include: the music of Olivier Messiaen, Bartók, Stravinsky, Charles Mingus; art, poetry, good food, and good communion. |

In 2007, Marc earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in Music Technology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His composition teachers were Michael Angell and Ronald Clemmons. He graduated with numerous awards and honors, including:
He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Composition from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance; where has studied with Bright Sheng and Erik Santos. He came to study music after exploring photography, filmmaking, theatre, writing, and rock stardom in his youth. Marc is a fixture in the Birmingham theatre community as a sound designer and occasional stage manager. He is professionally affiliated with: |
